RHS Open House, EOC Reports, and PLC Info

 Good afternoon Parents, Students, Families, and Guardians of Revere High School,

Thank you all for such a wonderful start to the 2023-24 school year. The positive energy the students and staff have brought back into the building is impressive. While the school year is only five days old, we are already running at full speed. Last week, we had the chance to meet with our students to talk about their goals, positive decision-making, and the critical steps that happen during specific grade-level years. This week, we have an opportunity to meet some of you and to share information about how your student performed on the Ohio State End of Course Exams and 8th-grade State Tests. On Wednesday, August 30th, we will distribute the parent reports to our students around 8:30 AM. Please ask to see these reports, look over them with your student, and if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. On Thursday, August 31st, RHS will host our annual Open House from 6:00 to 7:30 PM. There is no set program of events. Instead, we encourage you to stop anytime during the Open House window to meet your students' teachers. We also hope that many take advantage of the fact that our undefeated volleyball team will be at home the same evening. Come fill the stands and cheer on our athletes!

One of the topics discussed during our student meetings was PLC Days and which grade levels need to report on time for important meetings. Our first PLC day is Wednesday, September 13th. We need all Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors to be in the cafeteria by 7:34 AM so that we can register them for the upcoming pSAT test on October 4th. While Seniors can arrive later at 8:34 AM on 9/13, we need all Seniors in attendance for Wednesday, September  27th PLC day for our Senior Sunrise tradition, the class panoramic photo, and the important date meeting.

August 1st RHS Family Message

  August 1, 2023 Happy August, Revere High School!!! I am so excited for the 2023-24 school year. We have so many amazing opportunities planned for our students and families. On June 28th, I emailed a list of important dates and general information regarding events that kick off the school year. If you are new to us or have misplaced the email, you can always find my parent/family communication archived at https://minutemenprincipal.blogspot.com/ As families are starting to prepare for the first day of school, buying supplies, and shopping for clothes, I want to share with you a few things. Drawstring bags are allowed in class, but backpacks are not - Revere High School is growing in numbers, and space is at a premium. Since many of our classes will be near capacity, there is not enough space for students to bring large, bulky bags to each class. Students may use a drawstring bag to help keep items organized, but they will be encouraged to keep most of their supplies in their locker
