RHS April Updates

March 29, 2022 Good morning, Today is the last day of the third quarter. We are one week away from Spring Break, our seniors can start their internship projects in five weeks, the end of course and AP exams are coming up, and the spring sports and performance season is hitting its stride. One of the beautiful aspects of being in a school is the cyclical nature of our schedule. At the same time, we are wrapping up our current year and celebrating our accomplishments; we are also fully immersed in preparing for next year. April and May will fly by, and one can quickly become overwhelmed by the volume of tasks to be completed and at the speed that deadlines approach you. Remind your students that there are only so many hours in each day, preparedness is one’s friend, and to benchmark steps to large projects and exams to become manageable.  PTSA Updates: RHS PTSA is looking for people who are willing to serve as either the president or treasurer for the 2022-23 school year.  If intereste

Carson loved Revere and loved giving back, so we created The Carson Higgins Memorial Scholarship. This is our fifth-year awarding scholarships to Revere students and will be a total of $56,000 awarded! The Scholarship is awarded regardless of your plans after high school, and is based on kindness, volunteering, paying it forward, overcoming adversity, or how Carson may have impacted your life. Additionally- We would love to see pictures you may have of Carson or a memory or funny story of Carson. We will give prizes totaling $1,000 in awards at your senior picnic. If you have any, please send to carsonstrong@carsonstrong.org by May 1st. Speaking of senior picnic, we understand COVID has been hard for fundraising, and we know this class has been through a lot. So, the Higgins Family & CHMF want to do something special for your class. We will give each student a choice of one of three items- Shirt, hat or drawstring bag (Revere Seniors will create the design, then each sen

March Vision of a Minuteman Award Pancake Breakfast

I wanted to start a new tradition at RHS. There are hundreds of students who have dedicated their lives to the fulfillment of the ideals listed under the Vision of a Minuteman. We value more than just academic, athletic, and creative attributes. Personal character and citizenship traits are equally important and should be celebrated. Starting today, we will host monthly Vision of a Minuteman Award Pancake Breakfasts honoring the efforts of our students. Teachers and staff members will have the opportunity to nominate our RHS students for an exemplary embodiment of one of the six VOM attributes: Confidence & Empathy, Creates Solutions, Learner's Mindset, Engages with a Purpose, Perseveres & Adapts, and Communicates Truth. Please help me congratulate these amazing young adults on living up to our most prized and valued expectations.  Student Nominating Staff Member VOM  Comments Paige G. March 2022 RHS Parent/Guardian Letter

Good Morning, Parents and Guardians of RHS! The sun is shining, the temperature will be above freezing this weekend, spring sports are beginning to practice, and the cast and crew of the musical are filling the auditorium with the songs from Grease. Life is good at Revere High School. With the beginning of March, we are on a straight sprint towards End of Course exams, ACT, AP exams, Senior Internship Experiences, course selections, and countless activities that contribute to the holistic student experience. To keep you up to speed with all the significant events, I recommend that everyone add our RHS Public Google calendar. You can find it on the revereschools.org webpage. Go to the High School tab and click on Calendar at the top of the page. If major events are changed, we correct this information first.  There are a few upcoming events that I want to share with you and also give a little more information about. Wednesday, March 9 - Professional Learning Community (PLC) late

Congratulations to Steven Thomas!
