November VOM Nominees

 Each month, our staff nominates students that go above and beyond to live up to the characteristics described in our Vision of a Minuteman statements. People cannot always control the situation that they are in, but they can shape their response to it. These RHS students have chosen to be Confident & Empathetic, to Persevere & Adapt, Communicate Truth, Engage with Purpose, have a Learner's Mindset, and to Create Solutions. I am so proud of our young adults who were nominated and I thank them for their efforts.

Your professional approach to the interviews you conducted with Mr. Fry, our guest speaker Mr. Snyder, and me was extraordinary. You combined your personal experiences from being a part of a military family and being a Revere High School student seamlessly. Your questions were thoughtful, respectful, and truth-seeking. I look forward to reading your article. Thank you for helping to bring additional honor and respect to our Veterans' Day program.
Isabelle A	Mr. Fry	Communicates Truth	Isabelle is one of the most honest students I have in class! She works very hard and deserves to be recognized.
Madison B	Mrs. Krakowiak	Demonstrates a Learner's Mindset	Madison has been working her tail off this year and her grades are reflecting it. Keep up the great work, I am proud of you!
John S	Mrs. Pine	Demonstrates a Learner's Mindset	John is growing a lot as a student, and demonstrates a lot of self-reflection and self-awareness when it comes to his habits. Even when he isn't feeling the material or is reluctant to participate, he will show up and put the effort in when called upon to do so. He also participated a ton during our recent guest speaker when other students weren't willing!
Ainsley J	Mrs. Bowers	Demonstrates a Learner's Mindset	Ainsley is an absolute pleasure to have in class. She is a model student: prepared, curious, and hard-working. Ainsley is always willing to learn and goes above and beyond to make sure that she understands the content deeply. She asks thoughtful questions and is always willing to help her peers. Keep it up, Ainsley!
Gus M	Mrs. Mamula	Demonstrates a Learner's Mindset	Gus is coming around to the idea of accepting assistance when needed and trying new ways to get work done. He is demonstrating a learner's mindset by understanding that there is more than one way to get something done.
Rosa P	Mr. Fry	Demonstrates a Learner's Mindset	Rosa works very hard in class and out of class and has been showing more confidence every day!
Ashley G	Mr. Parry	Demonstrates a Learner's Mindset	Ashley does an amazing job participating in class and is an asset to other students in the room.
Ria M	Mr. Parry	Demonstrates a Learner's Mindset	Ria does all of her work at the highest level. For her there is no small assignment. She put full effort in everything she does.
Ava S	Mrs. Gillette	Embodies Confidence & Empathy	Ava is compassionate and caring. She sees a person in need and steps into action, putting that person first. Ava is a positive influence and a character role model every day.
Brian L	Ms. Ray	Embodies Confidence & Empathy	Brian is a very positive student that builds up the students around him. If someone is having a tough day, he will tell them something he likes about them and have others around do the same. Every he greets me with a smile and something good about his day.
Andrew M	Mrs. Zustin	Embodies Confidence & Empathy	Andrew always comes to class with a positive attitude and readiness to learn. I witnessed Andrew stick up for a classmate rather than sitting back and be a bystander. I also notice how kind Andrew is and he is always willing to include everyone! Andrew utilizes empathy to create kindness and confidence with his peers and classmates!
Ruby A	Mr. Schaefer	Embodies Confidence & Empathy	Ruby has shown, through the little time I have known her, how much she cares about others and is willing to always lend a helping hand. She is a pleasure to have in class and confidently completes all her work and assessments.
Erika S	Mrs. Borcoman	Embodies Confidence & Empathy	Erika demonstrated a high degree of empathy and understanding when presented with a difficult situation in the classroom. Her self awareness and confidence allowed her to adapt to the circumstances and prevail. These skills will serve her well not only in school but also in her future endeavors.
Lauren D	Mr. Parry	Embodies Confidence & Empathy	Lauren is a great lab partner and a wonderful student.
Owen K	Mr. Parry	Embodies Confidence & Empathy	Owen did a great job leading his class in pre-lab discussion and is a wonderful student.
Beckie G	Mrs. Exten	Embodies Confidence & Empathy	I love Beckie’s smile that she has every day upon entering class. She asks great questions and is a great leader in her group.
Braeden P	Mrs. Fagnilli	Engages with Purpose	Braeden is so dedicated and hard working. In yearbook, he went above and beyond in his efforts to sell ads. He takes everything we do very seriously and producing great results.
Grace D	Mrs. Pine	Engages with Purpose	Grace has taken on being both the president of Revere Players and a student director for the fall play. This comes in addition to her responsibilities as a lead in the play! She's a reliable leader for her peers, and models professional, responsible dedication to her craft.
Lydia G	Mrs. Lovaty	Engages with Purpose	Lydia says hello to me every morning and tells me to have a nice day at the end of every class period. She also comes to class prepared and ready to learn every day. Although I know that she isn't always achieving the results she would like in class, she never gives up on trying to earn her desired results. Overall, Lydia is a kind soul that brightens my day everyday!
Sophie G	Mr. Fry	Engages with Purpose	Sophie contributes each day to discussions at a high level, and has been a dominant scorer on tests all year!
Aidan M	Mr. Silvidi	Engages with Purpose	Aidan has shown himself as a leader since the first day I met him as a freshman. He always makes time to help other members of the Lantern staff and does so happily. He also has the high quality of his own work to use as an example to encourage other staff members.
Dawson S	Mr. Kos	Engages with Purpose	Dawson has always been a reliable student whom I can depend upon to help film events or help with the filming of announcements. Keep up the good work and thanks for all your help this year!
Jefferson M	Mr. Kos	Engages with Purpose	Jefferson is always offering to help and chip in no matter the task at hand. I appreciate his eagerness to help and confidence in completing jobs in the studio. His reliability is something I have come to appreciate as well.
Langston F	Mr. Parry	Engages with Purpose	Langston is an asset to his class. He is a great lab partner and his insight benefits everyone in the room.
Tate G	Mr. Cingle	Engages with Purpose	Tate has been on top of his game in my class all year long. He engages with the content in Consumer Math and participates regularly. His preparation for evaluations is impeccable and he has scored well this entire school year. He is a pleasure to have in class.
Austin K	Mr. Parry	Engages with Purpose	Austin does a great job in Geology. His work is always outstanding and he did an amazing job on his video presentation about the types of rocks!!
Donna S	Mr. D'Amico	Engages with Purpose	Donna was struggling a bit in her studies at the beginning of school year. She has attended tutoring on a weekly basis 3 times a week. She continues to work hard and actively engages with her tutors. She has a great positive attitude when learning new concepts.
Georgia S	Mr. Rahas	Engages with Purpose	Georgia is pleasure to have in class. She displays a hard work ethic!
Maddie L	Mr. Wido	Engages with Purpose	Every day Maddie enters my class ready to learn and stay engaged in the material. The solutions she provides to class problems are above and beyond. I appreciate how hard she works and has great attention to detail!
Drew M	Mr. Getz	Perseveres & Adapts	Drew finished with one of the highest grades in calculus the first grading period. He was able to achieve this grade even though he suffered much of the grading period from concussion symptoms. This medical issue caused Drew to miss many days of class, but he did not use it as an excuse to let his grades suffer. Drew was able to get our classwork, notes, and video presentations of our lessons from our google classroom to learn much of the material without much help from me. When he was in class, Drew used this opportunity to ask questions to clarify any problems he was having. Well done Drew and keep up the hard work!
Athena G	Mrs. Zustin	Perseveres & Adapts	Athena has preserved her knowledge from art last year and has applied and adapted it to her artwork this year. She has shown great care, ability, and growth in her artistry. I see Athena really embracing her work and utilizing the arts in her future. Very proud to call her my student for two years of her high school career.
Carter L	Mr. Cingle	Perseveres & Adapts	Carter has adapted well to 2 teachers this year. Even though I have only had Carter for about 13 days, he has made an impression with me. He has increased his engagement and participation in class. His evaluation grades have been solid too. Carter is a pleasure to have in class.
Taylor K	Mrs. Glowe	Perseveres & Adapts	Taylor sets an amazing example for her younger siblings through her attendance and work ethic at school. In addition, she is extremely dedicated outside of school with her involvement with cheer team and coaching others. In the classroom she is respectful of the teacher, and her classmates!
