October Vision of a Minuteman Pancake Breakfast

Each month, our staff nominates students that go above and beyond to live up to the characteristics described in our Vision of a Minuteman statements. People cannot always control the situation that they are in, but they can shape their response to it. These RHS students have chosen to be Confident & Empathetic, to Persevere & Adapt, Communicate Truth, Engage with Purpose, have a Learner's Mindset, and to Create Solutions. I am so proud of our young adults who were nominated and I thank them for their efforts.

She is a literal person so you can always expect her to tell you just like it is! She is forthright and direct, and never is misleading. She is quite refreshing and always makes me smile.
Marianne H	Mr. Faris	Communicates Truth	Marianne had the courage and confidence to tell me about a situation she witnessed on a bus during her ride home. Thank you!!!
Reese P	Mr. Schaefer	Demonstrates a Learner's Mindset	Reese is always eager to answer questions and takes the time to learn/understand the material.
McKenzie M	Mrs. Krakowiak	Demonstrates a Learner's Mindset	McKenzie has done an outstanding job in class completing work and participating. She is turning in quality writing samples and working hard in class. Keep it up!
Ryan N	Mrs. Zustin	Demonstrates a Learner's Mindset	Ryan always come to class with a positive and ready to work attitude. Ryan never gives up when solving problems and creating solutions in the classroom. Ryan is always willing to help others and demonstrates a learner's mindset!
Maddie H	Mr. Wido	Demonstrates a Learner's Mindset	Maddie comes in to class daily and asks great questions. She dives into extremely difficult math problems and looks at "failure" as a chance to learn and ask questions about the material. This has led her to have a great grasp of the content, but also understand things at a much deeper level. Her attitude and attention to detail is much appreciated and she is great to have in class each day!
Kayleigh P	Mrs. Krakowiak	Demonstrates a Learner's Mindset	Kayleigh is always prepared for class and participates daily. She is a great leader in our English class and works hard to do her best. She has been a pleasure to have in class and is doing a great job transitioning to high school!
Ethan Lo.	Mrs. Borcoman,	Demonstrates a Learner's Mindset	Ethan consistently completes all assignments with focus on quality of work. He turns his work in on time and takes care to complete each portion of an assignment. Ethan is quiet and reserved in class but is a dedicated student with tremendous work ethic. He is a good role model for his peers.
Ethan Le.	Mr. Getz	Demonstrates a Learner's Mindset	Ethan has done a super job in Honors Algebra 2 so far this year. He comes to class prepared and ready to learn each day. He is fun to have in class and is always well mannered and courteous. Keep up the great work Ethan!

Trinity C	Mr. Cingle	Demonstrates a Learner's Mindset	Trinity has a solid grasp of math in general but has excelled in Consumer Math. Her homework is impeccable and provides quality work on all homework and evaluations. I respect her work ethic and enjoy having her in class.

Andrew F	Mrs. Gillette	Demonstrates a Learner's Mindset	Andrew is a character role model, a tutor, and a mentor to a group of younger students. He encourages the students to stay focused and give their best efforts. Andrew is helping these students develop a learner's mindset. The time that Andrew has devoted to this group has increased their chances of future success. He is caring, and his help is invaluable!
Aiden P	Ms. Hogan	Embodies Confidence & Empathy	Aiden is a great example of a Minuteman. He is welcoming to all students and a positive peer role model.
Jessica B	Mr. Faris	Embodies Confidence & Empathy	Jessica really helped me understand a situation where I didn't have a lot of information. Her input was perfect!
Margaret B	Mr. Schaefer	Embodies Confidence & Empathy	A great student that always comes in with a good attitude and shows empathy through the interactions she has with not only me but her fellow students. A genuine pleasure to have in class and talk to.
Erika S	Mr. Dallas	Embodies Confidence & Empathy	Erika always enters my class with a smile and an awesome attitude. I have seen her grow from a 9th grader who was hesitant to participate in any type of class discussion or activity, to a senior, who confidently contributes to our class and is someone I consider a class leader. I am so glad to have her in Minuteman Career Academy and her future is bright!
Peyton C	Mrs. Reinhold	Embodies Confidence & Empathy	Peyton comes into my office every morning before school and brightens my day. I love how much Peyton has grown since coming to Revere High School.
Szilvia W	Dr. Peltz	Embodies Confidence & Empathy	Szilvia embodies confidence and empathy is everything she does. As a teammate, a friend, a student, and an Active Minds member, Szilvia gives of herself and helps others. Thank you for being amazing. Thank you for your kindness. Thank you for being you.
Alexia Z	Mr. Cingle	Embodies Confidence & Empathy	Alexia conducts herself in the Vision of a Minuteman. She is willing to help students in class and conducts this tutoring with much grace. Alexia dominates on HW assignments and evaluations. Alexia has a bright future in whatever she intends to study. She is a pleasure to have in class as well.
Lilly K	Mrs. Exten	Engages with Purpose	Lilly has shown great growth over the past year as a leader. She takes the initiative to help teach lesser experienced players with kindness and patience. And, to top it off, she is always smiling.
Lucas S	Mrs. Zustin	Engages with Purpose	Lucas comes to class ready to work and engages with a purpose. Lucas is always hardworking, involved, and eager to learn something new. I truly enjoy watching Lucas create and interact with his peers.
Alex P	Mrs. Mason	Engages with Purpose	Alex has shown tremendous growth in responsibility and perseverance over the past year. He comes to class each day eager to learn and determined to complete his work. He is awesome! :)
Will S	Mrs. Lovaty	Engages with Purpose	Will is in my first period class. He comes in every day ready to learn. He is always on task, attentive during class, participates in class discussion and seems happy to learn. Although Will is a quiet student, I want him to know that I appreciate his willingness to learn.
James M	Mr. Cingle	Perseveres & Adapts	James has been coming to tutoring this quarter after school and he is showing improvement in his grades. Although his parents force him to get tutoring, he engages with me and we get a lot reviewed. I enjoy our tutoring sessions.
Karli Y	Mrs. Borcoman	Perseveres & Adapts	Karli Yocco has been open to finding new ways to study and engage in class material. She uses her support period for both Math Plus and MME. She is always willing to listen to input from Mrs. Borcoman about strategies she might try. Karli divides her time well so that she can work on all classes. Karli did not let it impact her confidence when she didn't perform as well as expected on some assessments and was open to trying new ways to engage with the material. Karli has stayed positive and her attendance has been consistently great. I enjoy working with her in both English and MME/Math Plus

Michael G	Ms. Lyon	Perseveres & Adapts	Michael was new to the district last year. I first met Michael during my Clothing Design Class second semester. As I was able to learn just a little bit about him, I realized that life was a bit complicated and with some obstacles. Michael would miss many days of school. When it came to sewing, I learned quickly that he was a hands on learner and sewing was just that for him. We made it through the semester, but with many more days of being absent. Fast forward to the 2022/2023 school year. The Michael that I met on day 1 In my Foods 1 class was like having a new student. Michael represents a Vision of a Minuteman, as he has shown me this year that he can and will persevere and adapt. Michael comes to class with a smile everyday. He takes pride in the work he completes for me daily and is very enthusiastic and enjoys being in the kitchen. Thank you for the sunshine that you bring to me and the class daily.
Amelia H	Ms. Lyon	Perseveres & Adapts	Amelia was new to the district in grade 6. I first met Amelia, in my Skills for Living class. As I was able to learn just a little bit about her, I realized that life was somewhat complicated and not without obstacles. I engaged with Amelia gently. I looked to her for approachability and a willingness to participate in class. Amelia has a warmth about her, even at a distance. It wasn't until the 22 /23 school year that I would meet up with Amelia again. Amelia is in my Foods 1 class. She has grown in confidence and definitely demonstrates the Vision of a Minuteman, as she has shown that she can and will persevere and adapt daily. Amelia is still very quiet, but comes to class with a smile everyday. Amelia is enthusiastic and enjoys being in the kitchen. Thank you for the sunshine and confidence that you bring to me daily.
