Demonstrates a Learner's Mindset

Fred's work ethic and commitment to learning and understanding geometry is unmatched. He is always engaged in class, participates in large group discussions, and asks great questions. He is very organized and serves as a role model peer in geometry. When working in small groups, Fred is also willing to help others and does an excellent job of explaining the process and not just giving the answer. Fred has such a kind heart and I appreciate the kindness he has shown me throughout the entire school year.

Jonna D

Demonstrates a Learner's Mindset

Dear Jonna,

It is my pleasure to nominate you for April's Vision of a Minuteman. You are kind, courteous, friendly and have a smile that is contagious. You consistently demonstrate confidence in yourself and in others. You communicate the truth and are a true leader. You definitely know how to persevere and adapt daily to life. It has been my pleasure to get to know you and experience with you all of the joys of being an exchange student in America. You have enjoyed every day to the fullest and will take home to Germany the most amazing experiences and journeys with your gracious host family. These memories will last a lifetime.

Mrs. Lyon

Julia E

Mathematics-

Wido/Cingle

Demonstrates a Learner's Mindset

I only started having Julia in class a few weeks ago due to filling in for Mr. Cingle, but her ability to answer questions with unique solutions and truly understand material at a deeper level is quite obvious. Julia will ask questions to gain a deeper understanding of material frequently and tries to understand things beyond the requirements for class. In a few short weeks, Julia has really shown a very big potential for the rest of high school and beyond and I know Mr. Cingle also agrees.

Neha Y

Ms. Haynam / ELA

Demonstrates a Learner's Mindset

Neha is highly motivated and went above & beyond in her daily analysis of Great Expectations all third quarter.

Owen F

Terry Kobetitsch

Demonstrates a Learner's Mindset

Owen always puts forth his best effort, completes all assignments, advocates when unsure of content, and has even been proactive in asking for more math work to better prepare for his move from small group instruction to the general education setting. In addition to his move out of small group math instruction, Owen is taking on the challenge of moving from basic English to Comp English and from American History to Honors World History next school year!

Pace C

Mrs. Lovaty--ELA

Demonstrates a Learner's Mindset

Pace is a kind young man that positively adds to the classroom in so many ways. For example, Pace consistently adds to classroom discussion and even stays after class to continue the discussion. He really takes the time to think about the material. He also makes my job enjoyable and easier by caring so much about the material.

Shea K

Mathematics-Mr. Wido

Demonstrates a Learner's Mindset

Shea challenged herself by doubling up in math as a sophomore. Day in and day out Shea brings a great energy to my class with her sense of humor and positive attitude. She is always asking clarification questions to understand concepts more deeply and provides solutions to problems well above the requirements for class. Shea shows a great deal of potential to achieve whatever it is that she puts her mind to well beyond Revere and is truly appreciated in my class every day.

Cole B

Social Studies

Embodies Confidence & Empathy

Cole is one of the kindest and helpful students I have taught at Revere. He is a student at CVCC and is an athlete here at Revere. He is incredibly helpful, insightful, trustworthy, kind, and respectful

Colton C

Mrs. Beshara

Embodies Confidence & Empathy

After a class visit to the library, I was putting a number of tables, chairs, and other furniture back in order that the class had moved around so they could complete their projects. This task can take some time when one is working alone. Colton happened to be in the library the period I was moving everything back to where it belonged. He approached me and asked if he could help and I told him that I could handle it. Nevertheless, he insisted and said it was the least he could do since he was in the class that had moved everything earlier. Having the extra set of hands made the task go much faster and also made moving the heavy furniture more manageable. Moreover, I appreciated his offering (rather than being asked/told) to help.

Heidi T

Ms. Ryan - World Language

Embodies Confidence & Empathy

Heidi has done an exemplary job of embodying kindness in helping a friend in need. She is always available to help assist a friend in need anytime of the day, any day of the week with no questions ask. I am very fortunate to have such a caring individual leading the way for others in my Spanish 3 class. Bravo Estela:) - Ms Ryan

Tony M

Mr. Heyn-Social Studies

Engages with Purpose

Tony is a great young man who is a pleasure to have in class. He recently went above and beyond by doing research and delivering a narrative about his grandfather's experiences in WWII.

Bethany K

Dear Bethany, It was a pleasure to meet you in middle school when you and your father moved into the school district. It was hard for you and you would often struggle. We made a connection and formed a bond. When I moved to the high school last year I would often wonder what Bethany was up too. To my surprise, you signed up late to Clothing Design do to a schedule change. I already had 30 students in the class and Mrs. Rion prepared you that I might not accept more students do to the large class enrollment. When you came to ask me if I would allow you to join the class, it was an honor and a privilege to say "YES". Bethany, you have come a long way since those middle school years. I am proud of you and whom you have become. You definitely are a true Vision of a Minuteman. You have shown me how to adapt and persevere. You have grown leaps and bounds. I am honored to recognize you as Aprils' Vision of a Minuteman. You have displayed adaptation and perseverance through your middle school years. You are a true joy and a pleasure to have in class.

Over the last year and a half, Fred has come into a new school, taken on a difficult workload, and has performed every step of the way. He consistently overcomes obstacles. He strives to do well and is always receptive to suggestions. He has taken lessons to heart and applies them to his daily life. I am very impressed with his perseverance and how he has adapted to being a model Revere Minuteman.

Norah B

Mrs. Repp

Perseveres & Adapts

Norah is a joy to have in the classroom. She is a role model to her peers. Norah has been dealt some challenges, but has found a way to persevere and work through these. Somehow she has still kept her optimism throughout the difficult times. I appreciate Norah's willingness to participate in class. Her work ethic stands out amongst her peers in Honors Geometry. I am so proud of all she has been able to accomplish and her positive attitude. I know her perseverance and resiliency will help her achieve great things in her future.
