PSAT Test Reminders

Greetings RHS Juniors and Sophomores (signed up for the PSAT)!

The following information is for ALL Juniors and any 10th grader that signed up to take the PSAT on Wednesday, October 13th. Please note that the following message will be sent home to all parents of students testing as well.

Here are a few important reminders/helpful tips for testing day:

1.) Breathe 💙 ALL will be well and YOU can do this! You will do great!

2.) If you have not completed your PSAT pre-administration, please see Mrs. Rion in the RHS Counseling Office ASAP and prior to testing. Mrs. Rion will be sending passes for students that did not complete pre-administration last week on 10/11 and 10/12.

3.) What to Bring:

4.) What Not to Bring:

  • Any devices, including smartwatches, that can be used to record, transmit, receive or play back audio, photographic, text, or video content
  • Protractors, compasses, rulers
  • Highlighters, colored pens, colored pencils, mechanical pencils
  • Pamphlets or papers of any kind
  • Food and drinks—including bottled water—unless approved by the College Board's Services for Students with Disabilities.

5.) During the Test:

You will be allowed to have only these items on your desk:

  • A test book
  • An answer sheet
  • No. 2 pencils with erasers
  • An approved calculator—during one of the math sections only

6.) Turn Off All Electronic Devices!

You’ll need to turn off all electronic devices during the test and even during breaks. This includes cellphones. Be sure to turn off your watch alarm, if you have one.

Why? Test centers are serious about security and quiet, so prohibited devices—which include cellphones, tablets, and MP3 players—must be turned off and put under your desk. Better yet: Leave them at home

You will be dismissed immediately and your scores will be canceled if you use your phone or if it makes a noise—even during breaks. Your phone may also be confiscated and inspected.

Please see Mrs. Rion in The RHS Counseling Office if you have any questions or concerns.

We R Here for you 💙❤
