 Parents and Guardians of Revere High School,


Welcome to the 2022-23 school year! I hope everyone had a wonderful summer, and you are as excited as I am for the upcoming school year. I cannot wait to meet all our new students and families and reconnect with all that is returning. The Revere Local Schools are a fantastic group of staff, families, and community members with the common goal of providing the best holistic experience for our students. We all want to help our kids achieve every aspect of the Vision of a Minuteman. This is accomplished by committing to a personalized approach to meet the unique needs of our students. With the first day of school fast approaching, I would like to share some important dates and places to find RHS events. 


Transparent and effective communication is my goal. Any essential and timely information will be emailed to all parent/guardian registered accounts. I have also set up three avenues to connect and inform the parents, students, and community of all the wonderful things happening at RHS. We will use the RHS Calendar found at the top of the Revere High School website (https://www.revereschools.org/Domain/42) as a constantly updated platform for all non-athletic events. This calendar is specific to the high school and is separate from the district’s Event Calendar. I have also created a Revere High School Principal Page at https://minutemenprincipal.blogspot.com/ as a parent newsletter site. This link will connect you with the Revere Athletics page, the district website, and the RHS Calendar. Finally, I encourage all Twitter users to follow me @AndyPeltz. 


While several teams and group events are occurring during the first few weeks of school, here are the most important dates that you need for the first quarter of school. More information will follow about each as the dates approach.


Senior Pictures - 08/18 & 08/19

Frosh Fest and New Student Orientation - 08/18

Parking Pass Pick-up - 08/18 & 08/19 in Main Office 8:00-12:00 & 12:30-3:00

CVCC First Day - 08/24

First Day of School and Picture Day - 08/25

RHS Open House - 08/30 from 6:00-7:30 pm

Labor Day (No School) - 09/05

CVCC Open House - 09/07

PLC Day - 09/14 - Late arrival (8:34 am) for Seniors and Sophomore; Class meetings for Juniors and Freshmen at 7:34 am

PLC Day - 10/05 - Late arrival for all non-PSAT test takers (8:34 am). All Seniors and PSAT test takers report at 7:34

RHS Parent-Teacher Conferences - 10/06 from 4:00-7:30 pm

Futures Day - 10/12

NEOEA Day - 10/14 - No School

Homecoming Game and Dance - 10/14-10/15

End of First Quarter - 10/27

Teacher Inservice Day - 10/28- No School


Thank you again for the opportunity and privilege to be your student’s principal. It is an honor to wear our school’s colors and to represent the community. Please know that I am always willing to schedule a meeting with you if you have any questions, concerns, or want to talk. I also hope you will feel comfortable introducing yourself when we meet at games and events. Together we can continue the tradition of excellence that has been established and create a legacy that will make future classes proud. August 1st RHS Family Message

  August 1, 2023 Happy August, Revere High School!!! I am so excited for the 2023-24 school year. We have so many amazing opportunities planned for our students and families. On June 28th, I emailed a list of important dates and general information regarding events that kick off the school year. If you are new to us or have misplaced the email, you can always find my parent/family communication archived at https://minutemenprincipal.blogspot.com/ As families are starting to prepare for the first day of school, buying supplies, and shopping for clothes, I want to share with you a few things. Drawstring bags are allowed in class, but backpacks are not - Revere High School is growing in numbers, and space is at a premium. Since many of our classes will be near capacity, there is not enough space for students to bring large, bulky bags to each class. Students may use a drawstring bag to help keep items organized, but they will be encouraged to keep most of their supplies in their locker
