RHS Senior End of the Year Activities

Now that Prom is over, we can turn our full attention to the end of the year celebrations and ceremonies. We are thrilled that we can return to a more traditional set of activities this year. Listed below are all of the Revere High School-sponsored events. 

Senior Activity Schedule & Details:

Senior Checklists Available - Starting last week, seniors must complete an exit checklist before they are issued their Commencement bags and cap/gown. All technology and textbooks must be returned, locker cleaned out, and fees paid.  

Celebration of the Arts Award Ceremony - May 23, 6:30 pm - Please join us in the auditorium to celebrate our Revere Local Schools artists. Special awards will be given to our top performers. Senior artists will have the opportunity to display their works in booths at the Celebration of the Arts Show in our auxiliary gym. Public viewing of all the works will run from May 23rd - May 26th from 6:30 - 8:30 pm.

Senior Superlatives and Picnic - May 27 - Seniors should report to school at the normal time (except those participating in the internship). Seniors in the internship should be in the auditorium by 11:00 am. 11:00 - 11:45 am Senior Announcements and Superlative Awards & 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm Senior Class Picnic

  • catered picnic will be provided

  • Stadium or gym (weather dependent)

  • seniors are welcome to bring yard games 

  • the Higgins family will be sponsoring a DJ and senior gift


Senior Internship Presentations - ​​May 31, June 1, and June 2 between 8:00 - 2:00 in our Media Center. 

Senior Exams - May 31, June 1, and June 2 - For students who are not participating in an internship with a presentation or did not complete the requirements for exam exemptions, please work with your teachers to take any required final exam. 

Senior Awards Ceremony - June 1, 6:00 pm - RHS Auditorium. Parents and families of students receiving an award will receive an invitation and be asked to RSVP for this event. 

Passing of the Scroll Assembly, Cap/Gown Distribution, Graduations Walks, and Commencement Practice - June 3 7:30 am. Seniors will meet in the auditorium for a brief meeting. All times below are approximate

  • Passing of the Scroll Assembly - 8:00-8:30 Main Gym

  • Cap and Gown Distribution - 8:30-9:00 Auditorium. Senior checkout list must be completed as well as all fees paid. Contents of the Commencement Package include 12 tickets, a map of Blossom, Lifetouch photography information, cords, special distinctions, and cap/gown/tassel. Students may decorate their caps. All decorations must be relatively flat, tastefully designed, and contain school appropriate messaging. Any cap deemed inappropriate by the administration will be replaced.

  • Graduation Walks - 9:00 RHS, 9:15 RMS, 9:30 BES, and RES 10:00. Students will be transported between buildings via bus. No student may drive independently. 

  • Commencement Rehearsal - 10:30 RHS Stadium. Students are encouraged to change out of their cap and gown, wear comfortable clothes, and apply sunscreen. If there is inclement weather, we will host rehearsal in our gyms. 

Commencement - June 5 - Blossom Music Center

  • 11:30 am - Parking lot opens. Please contact the main office if you have a need for any special parking arrangements.

  • 12:00 pm - Seniors report backstage and check-in.

  • Seating for families and friends of graduating seniors will be in the second tier in the main pavilion. The majority of seating will be first come first serve.

  • All graduates will walk in the processional and be seated in alphabetical order. The path will take our graduates in front of the majority of the seating areas before or after receiving their diplomas. This should allow for plenty of photo opportunities for all. 

  • Concessions will not be available. Guests may bring in sealed water bottles.

  • 1:00 pm - Commencement Ceremony begins

  • Students will receive their diplomas on stage. All graduates are dismissed directly from their seats. Please determine a family meeting spot for reunification.
